The land will be cared for in a way that gives back what it takes, respecting the connection of all living things—humans, animals, plants, insects, water, air and trees.
The systems being developed for water, energy, and resources are designed to avoid taking more than what the earth can sustain and regenerate. This ensures that all parts of the earth thrive, allowing all life to continue in beautiful perpetuity.
A key part of this principle is the mindful use of chemicals. On the property, man-made chemicals or synthetic toxins that disrupt natural ecosystems will not be used. These substances can interfere with the ability of plants, animals, and humans to thrive by introducing elements that the earth didn’t create and can’t easily process.
This approach ensures that we don’t take power away from the land or living beings, allowing everything to continue in harmony and good health. Knowing that it all comes back to us.
This principle will be demonstrated by creating systems on the property that allow individuals to take responsibility for all aspects of living—energy, water, food, and resources—without relying on external forces that dictate what to use or how much to pay.
Energy: The system will be designed to use energy in alignment with the principles, ensuring that individuals maintain control. By not relying on outside sources owned by others, you keep your power, rather than giving it away to systems that can dictate how much you use or pay. This approach empowers individuals to take responsibility for their energy and resources, staying true to the principles.
Water: Water management will ensure that it is sourced and treated responsibly, avoiding the introduction of harmful elements while maintaining balance with nature.
Food and Resources: The property will show how individuals can take power over their own food production and essential resources. In today’s system, we often rely on grocery stores where food is grown using methods that harm the earth and our bodies and break these principles, while prices are dictated by external forces. By growing and producing food directly on the land and in harmony with nature, individuals are able to follow the principles of balance and not giving away their power. This model reduces dependency on external systems, allowing people to make conscious decisions about how they feed themselves and manage resources, ensuring that all practices align with the principles.
As we embark on this exciting journey to create the Arizona Educational Center and Gardens, my husband and I are currently focused on saving funds to purchase land. We are diligently setting aside resources to ensure we can establish a space where the community can learn and connect.
A Visitors Home: We plan to build a home that exemplifies sustainable living practices and the principles we wish to share. This home will serve as a practical example of how to live the principles.
Demonstration Gardens: Our gardens will showcase the principles in practice and growing methods that restore soil health and produce nutrient-rich food for all.
Community Gathering Spaces: We aim to create areas for workshops, educational events, and community gatherings to foster engagement and learning.
Future Plans: Once we secure the land, we will move forward with planning and construction.
Community Access: In alignment with our mission, we will provide free access to our programs and resources, allowing everyone in the community to engage with nature and learn about harmonious living without financial barriers.
